what general topic would you like to present on?

I would like to present on a topic that involves the effects of social media on people's in-person social life. Social media likes to skew a lot of people's image, creating this fake persona that you keep up with, to create almost the perfect perception of yourself, or how you want to be perceived among the internet. When you talk to these people you met through social media/online in person, they are nothing how they seem on social media. They can try to make it seem like their life on social media is the same as how it is in real life, but most of the time they aren't. Everyone wants to look good on these platforms because everyone can see it, friends, family, even strangers. There is this weird sense of validation for a lot of people because they want to be accepted by everyone in some kind of way. I have noticed that a lot of people have become very isolated in the sense that our social lives are only online. This digital age really does change how we interact with each other socially. It is good that we can be connected from anywhere, anytime, as long as we have an internet connection. Everyone has a smartphone, so most likely they are connected through social media, interacting every day. Is it best that you put your best self out there? I believe so. Again, most of the time you interact with strangers, so you always put your best self forward. But, is it good to create this fake persona that isn't really you? I don't think so. You are on a balance beam when it comes to that.
