dot com vs dot bomb

In that space of time where this bubble was created, it wasn’t suprising the way it came about. No one  was ready for this opening, to where just buying a domain name and starting up a buisness was simple. there were so many unallocated names out there at that point you could be any entity out there. Investors didn’t know or understand it fully, but people who invested early and cashed out made a huge profit from it. Now, the companies that were trying to strive through the last days, they lost everything that they had. These venture capitalists thinking that this was the next big thing. now it was at the time, but the many companies on this era had been shut down. Imagine the stress of beginning a buisness and actually have it gain traction, for it to be bankrupt a year later. Like the startup.com documentary showing the rise and fall of the company and its interworkings, you saw how many people devoted their lives to this era. It’s scary to think that you just finally got out of college, got a career in this new industry, but then be out of a job in a year. being employed during that era must have been an absolute nightmare. I think that it was such an exciting time, for startups and established buisnesses be moved on a global scale, where everyone could see your product online, buy it online, and have it sent to them digitally. being part of that must have been mindblowing.
